Hi, I'm Thimo.

I've been a Google Ads manager for online shops for over eight years and have managed more than €5M in ad budget. Within Google Ads I steer tracking, feed and campaigns consistently toward profit. Beyond that I look at the whole shop, because that's often where the biggest growth sits. I take on only a few new clients, so I really know each one. There's no magic to my approach: clean setup, reliable data, consistent steering.

Instead of blindly following every Google recommendation, I work step by step, in the order that earns your shop the most profit.

Foundation

Without this foundation, no rung runs profitably.

  • Goal setting: Which target number drives every decision? POAS, MER or monthly contribution margin, depending on your business model.
  • Tracking that measures honestly: Cleanly set up, ideally server-side. The Google tag and the equivalent tags for your other channels wired up correctly.
  • Profit values as a steering signal: Margin fed into the conversion data, as far as your setup allows.
  • Product data: Feed hygiene, because Shopping and Performance Max are only as good as their input.
  • Remarketing setup: Audiences and consent management set up correctly on the technical side.

Serve existing demand profitably

Anyone already searching for your products or offers should find you and buy.

The first step captures the demand that already exists for your range and your offers. As cheaply and fully as possible, turned into completed orders. Brand search, purchase-ready generic search, Shopping and ongoing remarketing cover this in Google Ads. Combined with your other marketing activities, it adds up to one coherent picture. Conceptually: pull marketing.

Serve existing demand in full

Working toward the plateau where all available demand is covered.

Once rung 1 runs cleanly and profitably, the focus shifts to saturation. Higher bids where the data and margins support them. Wider reach through additional search channels like Microsoft Ads. A deliberate split between new and returning customers. When the home market is maxed out, expansion into more countries or languages where possible. All of it in a shared strategy with your other marketing.

Generate new demand yourself

Once everything below is running, you add the part where you create demand yourself.

Here you move from pull to push marketing. Instead of only catching what people actively search for, you put images and video in front of people who don't know your products yet. Full-asset Performance Max, Demand Gen and YouTube deliver this in Google Ads. Tied into brand building, content and social media beyond Google.

What you want to know before we talk.

What does the management cost?
That depends too much on your account for a flat number to be honest here. Size, ad budget and workload make the difference. In the Reality Check I look at your account, then I give you a concrete, solid number. So you know exactly what you're paying for.
Is there a minimum term?
No minimum term, you can cancel monthly. Still, honestly: in my experience profitable scaling takes three to six months before the first clear effects show. Set up tracking cleanly, wait out the learning phases, adjust. If you drop out after four weeks, you only see the start of this work, not the result.
What sets you apart from an agency?
You work directly with me, not with a changing junior manager. I deliberately look after only a few online shops, so I know your feed, your margins and your bestsellers in detail. And I steer for profit, not for ROAS alone. ROAS doesn't tell you what's actually left at the end of the month.
Why a Reality Check first, not a discovery call?
A classic discovery call is often a sales pitch in disguise: lots of talk, little to see. With the Reality Check I look at your account beforehand and record a video of about ten minutes. You see right away where budget is left on the table and which levers make sense next. And you get a feel for whether working together fits. If not, you still keep an honest assessment.
Which online shop systems do you work with?
All of them, in principle. Most often it's Shopify, Shopware and Lightspeed. In many cases Channable comes in to support feed management, and something like Stape for server-side tracking. But I'm not tied to any particular system.
